Mission Statement
To form and maintain an Elite Women's Bicycle Racing Team that will compete in the continental Northeast in pursuit of victory, for development and to raise awareness of bicycle racing with the general public. Further, to aid riders on the Team attain Category 2 and 1 status and to encourage Junior rides, especially Junior Women, through a system of identification, education and exposure.
Goals
To form and support an Elite Women's regional bicycle racing team which will complete in the continental Northeast. Women need to be Category 1 or 2 with special consideration given to Category 3 and Junior Women.
Responsibilities of Athletes
* To lend themselves and their efforts to the successful execution of Team tactics
* To make themselves available for outreach and promotional opportunities
* To behave in an approachable and professional manner in regard to bicycle racing
* To complete bios, be available for photos, follow through with race commitments
* To arrive at events as prepared as possible to play out the Team's intention
* To keep open and accurate communication with Team staff, sharing needs and seeking help when necessary
Education and Outreach
To promote the sport of bicycle racing through Elite Women to Juniors, especially Junior Women, and to seek out opportunities to ride with and speak about bicycle racing to interested parties, acting as a conduit for others entering the sport and educating the general public when possible.
Part of our system of promotion will include an outreach program for our sponsors, friends and other interested parties to join us at events so that they may further understand and enjoy the sport.
